Hello,

I work for ITV Anglia and I am looking to do a piece on our programme marking the 50th anniversary of the making of the wonderful Akenfield film.

I’d like to come to the village to do some filming. I understand there is now a phone box exhibition dedicated to the film, which would be nice to feature.

But what I would really love is to talk to some people who can remember the filming, maybe played a small part or recall the way the village came together. And I also wonder if someone from the village (maybe the parish council) might reflect on what it means to still be linked in this way to this great film and part of Suffolk history.

I wonder if anyone has any recommendations of people we could talk to who can help and would be of interest in telling the Akenfield story.

Ideally we’d like to do some filming in the next couple of weeks.

I’d be grateful if you could let me know and/or put me in touch with anyone who could help.

Any help you can offer would be gratefully received.
