Charsfield Off Grid – Community Energy Fund

Charsfield Off Grid – Community Energy Fund

Friday 8th March 2024 – Charsfield Village Hall – 7pm

Community Energy Fund 2024

Charsfield, along with outlying villages, hamlets, farms and other commercial properties, is being offered the opportunity to apply for the government’s Community Energy Fund. This amounts to an initial grant of £40,000 to undertake a feasibility study to ascertain the best way to proceed with an energy project.   See Community Energy Fund details here: Community Energy Fund 2024

Beyond the feasibility study funding, we would be eligible for the next round of funding which would enable the village to setup the investment plan to build the community energy installation.

This is something that the people of Charsfield have the unique chance of being part of.  There are a number of ways to fund a project like this and these will be presented at the meeting.

You are invited to join other local people on the 8th March to learn a little more about the Community Energy Fund.

There will be a short presentation with Q&As afterwards. The bar will be open from 7pm to 10pm so everyone can stay and chat about energy or any other local matters.

This a truly exciting opportunity for Charsfield Village to take a lead and become a beacon of positivity for many other communities to follow in the months and years to come.

Please join us on 8th March:  Charsfield Village Hall, The Street, Charsfield, IP13 7RG
