Charsfield sits in the Potsford Valley, approximately 3 miles (5km) upstream from Wickham Market. Although the centre of the village is only some 25 metres above sea level, the relatively steep valley sides rise to beyond 40 metres and give extensive views across the village to open countryside beyond.
Charsfield Village Hall is set in the beautiful village of Charsfield, located in East Suffolk about 5 miles from the town of Woodbridge. The Village Hall is at the junction of St Peter’s Close and The Street located near here.
The hall is the home to a number of local clubs and organisations as well as ideal for weddings, parties, fitness classes and meetings. It is conveniently located in the centre of the village, has a large modern hall, configurable stage with lighting and sound, committee room, well equipped kitchen, disabled facilities and a car park.
Parish Councils are the smallest unit of local government and the closest to their electors. Councillors are elected and work to support and improve the area they represent. Charsfield Parish Council has 7 councillors. Councillors are elected for a period of four years and the next election will take place in 2023.
